What is the difference between sewage mixer and sewage elevator

Sewage mixers and sewage elevators play different roles in sewage treatment systems, and there are obvious differences between them, mainly reflected in the following aspects:

What is the difference between sewage mixer and sewage elevator

First, function and effect

Sewage mixer:

Main function: Through the rotation of the stirring blade, the sewage, sludge, microorganisms, chemicals, etc. in the sewage tank are fully mixed to ensure that the composition of the sewage is evenly distributed.

Function: Promote biological reaction, improve treatment efficiency, prevent sludge deposition, and maintain the stable operation of the system.

Sewage elevator (usually refers to sewage lifting equipment, including sump submersible pumps, etc.) :

Main function: To lift sewage from one location to another, such as from low-lying areas to treatment equipment or discharge pipes.

Function: Realize long-distance or vertical transmission of sewage, and solve the difficult problem of sewage artesia caused by factors such as terrain and pipeline layout.

Second, the working principle

Sewage mixer:

Working principle: The motor drives the stirring shaft and impeller to rotate, and uses the principle of fluid mechanics to generate thrust, shear force and turbulence in the sewage to achieve full mixing and uniform distribution of sewage.

Sewage elevator:

Working principle: When the waste water or sewage reaches a certain height, the sewage lifting equipment will automatically start, the impeller in the pump body starts to rotate, the waste water or sewage is lifted to a certain height, and then discharged to the designated place through the valve. The whole process is monitored and controlled by the controller to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.

Third, application scenarios

Sewage mixer:

Application scenario: Widely used in industrial, urban and rural sewage treatment plant aeration tank, anaerobic tank and other treatment units, is an important part of the sewage treatment system.

Sewage elevator:

Application scenario: It is suitable for elevating sewage from low to high places, such as sewage discharge systems in basements, underground parking lots, shopping malls, hotels and other places, as well as pumping stations in urban drainage networks.

Fourth, structure and composition

Sewage mixer:

Main components: submersible motor, sealing mechanism, runner, hand hoist, electrical control and other parts.

Sewage elevator (sump submersible pump as an example) :

Main components: pump body, motor, control system, valves and other parts. The pump body is equipped with an impeller, the motor drives the impeller to rotate and generate power, the control system is responsible for monitoring and controlling the operation of the equipment, and the valve is used to control the discharge of sewage.

In summary, there are obvious differences between the sewage mixer and the sewage elevator in terms of function, working principle, application scenario, structure and composition. They each play different roles in the sewage treatment system, and jointly ensure the smooth progress of the sewage treatment process.

Nanjing LanJiang Water Treatment Equipment Co.,Ltd manufactures equipment for wastewater treatment. We were established in 2001. Since then, we designed and produced submersible mixers, top entry mixers, aerators and other wastewater treatment equipment.
