Main Application

‘QJB’Submersible mixers find application in sewage treatment plants, water treatment plants etc. where these mixers are used for mixing, agitating, blending or dissolving of suspended solids.

• Mixing and stirring suspended bio-carriers:

-MBBR (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor)

-IFAS (Integrated Fixed-film Activated Sludge)

-Anoxic and Anaerobic fermentation tanks

-Denitrification processes

Working Conditions

'QJB'Submersible mixers can run continuously in following conditions.

1.Maximum allowable temperature of the medium for continuous operation is 40 °C [104 °F].

2.The pH value of the wastewater is between 5-9.

3.The density of the wastewater does not exceed 1150 kg/m3.

4.During long-term diving operation, the maximum diving depth is 20 meters.

Advantages of Our Submersible Mixer

· Material Options: Choose from cast iron, stainless steel 304, or 316 to suit your specific wastewater treatment needs.

· Durability: High-quality components, including NSK bearings and high-performance SiC mechanical seals, ensure our submersible agitators long operational life.

· Advanced Protection: Equipped with leakage sensors and overload sensors within the submersible agitators motor housing for enhanced reliability.

Key Feature: The Protective Grille System

Our specialized submersible mixer is engineered with robust, fine-mesh grilles installed on both the front and rear of the unit housing.

  • Zero Mechanical Damage: The heavy-duty grille acts as an impenetrable barrier, physically isolating the rotating impeller from the suspended bio-carriers (MBBR media). The media simply cannot reach the blades.

  • Guaranteed Thrust Efficiency: The design of the grille is hydrodynamically optimized. It prevents media ingestion without impeding water flow dynamics, ensuring maximum mixing thrust and energy efficiency are maintained.

  • Non-Clogging Assurance: The smooth profile of the guards prevents entanglement of fibrous materials, ensuring continuous operation in challenging wastewater environments.

  • Extended Media Lifespan: Protect your investment. By preventing carrier fragmentation and wear, our mixer significantly extends the operational lifespan of your MBBR media.

Submersible Mixer Structure

Model Selection and Flow Field

The selection of a submersible mixer is a relatively complicated task. The correct selection directly affects the normal use of the equipment. The first principle of agitators model selection is to allow the submersible mixer to exert its full mixing function in a suitable volume. Generally, it can be determined by flow rate. According to the different process requirements of the wastewater treatment plant, the optimal flow rate of the submersible mixer should be guaranteed to be between 0.15~0.3m/s. If the flow rate is lower than 0.15m/s, the push flow mixing effect will not be achieved. If the flow rate exceeds 0.3m/s, it will affect the process effect and cause waste. Therefore, before selecting a model, we need to confirm following things about the wastewater treatment.

1. Places where the QJB submersible mixer will be used, such as: sewage pool, sludge pool, and biochemical pool.

2. Parameters of the wastewater medium, such as: suspended solids content, viscosity, temperature, and PH value.

3. The tank shape and size, wastewater depth and installation method of the agitators.

At the same time, energy saving factors should also be taken into consideration, because this will affect the user's future operating costs.

Finally, one or more submersible agitators should be used according to the specific situation.

Please refer to the flow field diagram of the submersible mixers below.
